Following a prompt from Boing Boing I thought I’d give Google Chrome a go. This has been one of those times when a brief try of something makes you immediately switch over to it permanently. Not only does it just do, as standard, lots of things Firefox needs plugins for but it’s just nicer to use as well as being less resource hungry.

Speaking of plugins (and bookmarklets) I have found some nice ones recently including : InvisableHand (prompts with cheaper alternatives to products on the current page), Amazon UK Wish List (adds anything to your Amazon Wish List), Note In Reader (add any page to your Google Reader stream) and the lovely simplicity of Turn Off the Lights (blank one monitor if watching a video on another).

Some people may wish to have a good look at Stay Focused
