Two very interesting podcasts via IT Conversations. The first is about GRIN (Genetics, Robotics, Information technology and Nanotech) and how this is viewed by everyone from Ray Kurzweil to Bill Joy. A soundbite is how Moore’s Law over the last 50+ years now means that computer technology has increased in complexity 400,000,000 times over in that time. The second is by Malcolm Gladwell, author of Blink which I keep meaning to read, and is about how when people are asked to justify their opinion of something it that action often radically effects their opinion of that thing. A particularly good one for people in Annie’s chosen profession – she should bring it up at work…
